Extract Metadata from a PDF File

JPedal allows developers to access PDF document and page metadata including document properties, document XML descriptor, page sizes, outline data, font information, access permissions, and more.

Extract Document Properties

Access to document properties (Producer, Creator, etc) or any XML file version stored in the document.

Calculate Page Dimensions

JPedal will return the visible size of any page in a document as pixels, mm or inches.

Extract Outline Data

JPedal will extract any outline (bookmarks) data tree in the PDF document, including the link data.

Detect Fonts

JPedal will show if embedded fonts are present on a page and provide the font names used.

View Permission Settings

JPedal provides direct access to the file permissions defining user control and access.

Get Page Count

JPedal will scan the document tree and figure out how many pages are in the PDF file.
